Tracking & Privacy

We know that tracking and metadata is essential for the growth of your landing pages. Protecting the user’s data and staying in line with the law surrounding GDPR go hand in hand with this form of tracking. This is why we made a special page builder widget which makes the implementation of these aspects easy and straightforward. This guide will cover how to add tracking snippets, how to create a cookie banner and setting up your favicon.

Important! This guide applies to a custom widget in the bricks page builder named ‘Landing page Settings’. Add this to your page to make privacy and tracking work properly on your landing page.

Adding a favicon (required)

Step 1

On the Landing page Settings widget, navigate to FAV ICON.

Step 2

Use select image if you want to select an image from your media library or if you want to upload a local file. The recommended size is 16×16

Step 3

Use External URL if you want to add an image through an online URL.

Adding a cookie banner (required)

Step 1

On the Landing page Settings widget, navigate to CUSTOM COOKIE BANNER.

Step 2

Flip the switch to enable the cookie banner.

Step 3

Fill in the following fields ‘Title’, ‘Text’, ‘Accept Button’ and ‘Decline button’.

Adding tracking snippets

Step 1

On the Landing page Settings widget, navigate to CUSTOM COOKIE BANNER.

Step 2

Add the tracking snippets at the location where you would usually put them. Using Google Tag Manager as an example we can put the required head script in tracking scripts head while the body tag goes into tracking scripts body.

Adjusting SEO details

Step 1

On the top of the page, navigate to the gear wheel icon called settings.

Step 2

Go to Page settings and select SEO.

Step 3

Here you can edit all SEO settings. We highly suggest not changing the permalink or title as this might invoke issues with other functionalities of your page.

Step 4

Go to the tab Social media if you wish to edit the appearance of your links on social media. We again suggest not changing the Title.
